Following the acquisition of USFilter and as part of the formation of VIVENDI Water, Dick Heckmann and Henri Proglio will be appointed to run the new company.

Dick Heckmann, the current chairman of USFilter, will be appointed chairman of VIVENDI Water. Henri Proglio, senior executive vice president of VIVENDI, will be the new company's CEO.

Daniel Caille will join the senior management of VIVENDI to work with Jean-Marie Messier and Eric Licoys as executive vice president.

The organization of VIVENDI Water will be announced on September 20 in Berlin, following the required consultation processes. The company will bring together all VIVENDI's activities in water. With net sales for 1999 estimated at some euros 12 billion, VIVENDI Water will be the uncontested world leader in its sector.
