On May 22, 2000, the European Round Table of Industrialists* - ERT, made up of Europe's 45 largest companies, has named Gérard Mestrallet, President of the Executive Board of Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux, to replace Jérôme Monod who had previously resigned his membership.
From May 31, 2000, Jérôme Monod also resigned his memberships on the Boards of Directors of Crédit Lyonnais and TotalFina Elf.
*ERT was created in 1983. The goal of its members is to enhance the competitiveness of European industry worldwide.
