Jean-Louis BLANC has been appointed Senior Vice President to the Executive Board of Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux, in charge of water resources.

The creation of this post, which is attached to the Executive Board, is a demonstration of Jérôme MONOD and Gérard MESTRALLET's wish to involve Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux more in knowledge, conservation and management of water resources worldwide.

Born in 1949, a qualified agronomist and a former student of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration, Jean-Louis BLANC presided from 1992 to 1999 over the Executive Board of the Compagnie Nationale d'Aménagement de la Région du Bas Rhône et du Languedoc (BRL), which he led to recovery. He was, moreover, the originator of the project for an aqueduct from the Rhône to Barcelona, the design and development phase of which is now very advanced.

Jean-Louis BLANC's duties, which are multi-disciplinary at Group level, will be carried out in close collaboration with all the Group entities involved: Lyonnaise des Eaux, Degrémont, GTM ..., in addition to the research and engineering units.
