07/09/98 Degrémont enters the drinking water fountain market
Degrémont, a subsidiary of Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux, has taken a 35% stake in the capital of Roche Claire, a company specializing in refreshing spring water drinking fountains.
Founded in 1992, Roche Claire is No. 2 on the French market with sales of around FF 25 million. The company is growing strongly and doubling business every year.
Headquartered in Colombes, outside Paris, Roche Claire covers the whole of France with seven main bases: Paris, Lyons, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Tours, Angers and Nantes.
The company employs 50 people. It has built its reputation on the quality of service offered to customers and the quality of water distributed.
Degrémont will hold a majority stake in the company in the long term.With this initial acquisition, it illustrates its determination to break into this fast-growing market and to pursue a development strategy focusing on activities related to water treatment.
