Why did Malmö choose the KREPRO process for their sludge treatment?
KREPRO is a method developed by Kemwater in order to take care of sludge from waterworks and wastewater treatment plants, and to recycle it so as to utilise valuable components present in the sludge.
In a press release in early November last year the city of Malmö in southern Sweden announced their intention to install the first full scale KREPRO plant ever (press release to be found under the ‘News’ section of this website).
British journalist Steve Minett has interviewed Mr. Bengt Andersson, Technical Manager of Malmö Sewage Works, in order to find out what made Malmö take this important decision. Read the interview in the PDF file below!
