Announced today, Générale des Eaux has been awarded second prize at the "Idées Eau 98" festival for its film "Riviera Blue" produced for the general public.
After having already received two "dauphins d’or" at the Biarritz festival, this third award has crowned the creativity of their productions.

"Idées Eau 98" is an international festival specialising in corporate video productions devoted to the theme of water. It is organised by the magazine Hydroplus as part of the annual water festival in Stockholm and the international scientific conference, "Water Symposium".

"Riviera Blue" was produced by Bemard Billois for Générale des Eaux.
An experience shared by the spectator, the film relates the astonishment of a young American woman on a trip to the French Riviera. Through her letters and water colours, she is both a witness and tourist who also discovers the unspoilt beauty of this region's landscapes, renowned the world over. These coastal sites have been preserved thanks to the pollution removal plants developed and managed by Générale des Eaux and its company OTV.

These plants stretch from Menton to Marseilles in total discretion and are perfectly integrated within the natural and urban enviromnent.

The "Idées Eau 98" Sponsoring Committee is comprised of water and environment professionals from different countries. From both the public and private sector, these eminent members are well aware of the festival's impact and their support illustrates the attachment they hold for this event.

THE JURY

Comprising water professionals and communication specialists, the jury met on June 29 and 30, 1998 at the head office of the magazine HYDROPLUS. The jury watched all the competing films and awarded the prizes after deliberation.
