Anglian Water launches free Internet service for customers
Anglian Water Direct, the retail arm of Anglian Water, has launched a new Internet service for customers. Known as a portal, this free Internet service is an easy to use gateway onto the world-wide web with a particular focus on the east of England.
The anglianwaterdirect.com portal, developed in association with BT and LineOne, has over two million pages of family content and is full of regional information. People can find out about what local services are available in the east of England through links to local authorities’ websites. They can also visit the tourist board’s site to plan their weekends, or find out about Anglian Water’s recreation and leisure facilities.
There is an incredibly wide range of great value products and services on offer. These will include a range of over 5000 home appliances, home and motor insurance, home-mover packs and gardening products. Fishing, sailing, cycling, walking and bird-watching enthusiasts are also catered for.
The portal will enable people to have:
unlimited access to the world-wide web
unlimited e-mail
no membership charges
access to two million pages of UK content
net access ideal for family use
the Internet for the price of a local call (as little as one pence per minute at weekends)
