On 22 January 2002, a meeting will take place at the Social Research Centre, American University in Cairo to launch the recently translated Arabic language version of Vision 21.
The document, which is entitled: “A Shared Vision for Hygiene, Sanitation and Water Supply and a Framework for Action", was prepared by the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC), an organisation that comprises volunteers from all parts of the world who share a concern for water and sanitation issues.
During the meeting, participants hope to come to a shared view about how best, in Egypt and beyond, to make use of Vision 21 in catalysing concerned groups to take initiative at the community level regarding the improvement of water and situation, depending on local resources.
