ONDEO Industrial Solutions Signs Agreement BOC Gases
ONDEO Industrial Solutions, a subsidiary of Suez, has signed a framework agreement with BOC Gases, a world leading global industrial gases company. Under the agreement, ONDEO Industrial Solutions will provide water and waste water services at eight of BOC UK sites – a move that is expected to bring BOC substantial savings over the five-year agreement period.
BOC Gases, which serves two million customers in more than 50 countries, will take advantage of ONDEO Industrial Solutions’ skills to reduce its water and waste water costs at its eight plants in England, Wales and Scotland. The company will identify and implement cost-reduction projects at the plants, which produce oxygen, nitrogen and argon used by UK food, chemical, steel and electronics industries.
BOC Gases managing director Neil Greenfield said: “This new partnership will allow us to provide extra value and service to our customers. Even at this early stage, the synergy created with ONDEO Industrial Solutions has identified significant cost savings and environmental benefits. We are looking forward to a long and productive relationship with a leading supplier of water and waste services.”
Commenting on the agreement, ONDEO’s chairman and chief executive officer Gérard Payen said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with BOC, a world leading supplier of industrial gases. The agreement is proof that, when it comes to industrial water and waste water services, companies are turning to ONDEO Industrial Solutions because of our skills, expertise and understanding of the needs of industry.”
Within the last year ONDEO Services company in the UK, Northumbrian Water has signed similar partnering agreements with Scottish Courage Brewing, British Energy, Phillips Petroleum, Princes Soft Drinks, Bairds Malt and is currently negotiating an agreement with BP Grangemouth, the UK’s largest potable water user.
