HOUSTON – Azurix Corp. announced today that it has acquired 100 percent of J & J Baker Enterprises, Inc. and its affiliate Nutri-Cycle, Inc., for $4 million. The two companies provide wastewater bio-solids management and land application services to the central Florida market.
“The acquisition of J & J Baker further consolidates our position in Florida as a significant water and wastewater services supplier and provides established customer relationships and a strong market share position in central Florida,” said Rebecca P. Mark, chairman and CEO, Azurix.
Azurix already provides engineering services and automated control systems, contract operations of water and wastewater plants, pipe inspection, cleaning, rehabilitation and relining, as well as other related services in the state of Florida.
J. & J. Baker’s product lines include biosolids transportation, land application, offsite treatment, compliance monitoring and reporting, septic tank pumping, consolidation and treatment and lagoon dredging. The company has 72 employees and is based in Punta Gorda, Florida.
